Miryadi assistenza familiare

By Maria Elena Naggi

My name is Maria Elena Naggi.  I am the creator and the co-founder, along with Alessandro Shümperlin, of MIRYADI.

MIRYADI is a new online service platform that we hope will become your number one connection to “caring, trusted service solutions” for the everyday problems, large and small, that life throws at us.

From running errands and shopping for working singles and families, to caring for ageing parents; from tutoring your kids to just giving you a break for a well deserved night out, MIRYADI is there for you.

MIRYADI puts you together with caring professional service partners who are thoroughly vetted with background checks.

Most of us rely on family and friends to be there when we need extra help.  But what happens when friends and family aren’t available?  Or if we don’t want to impose upon them, but still need help? MIRYADI will be there for you.

Like our name implies, MIRYADI is many things, many services but with only one goal, helping people, helping you.

Our creative vision brings our members  together – those who provide care and services with the families and people who receive it – so that we can all pursue our passions and fulfill the basic human need of taking care of ourselves and each other.

Having built a successful career abroad in the United States for the last several years, I’ve always maintained a close relationship with my family in Italy, calling every day and visiting often.

But when an unexpected accident claimed the life of my older brother Fabrizio, I realized that I was now the one that my parents must rely upon when they need assistance and eventually lose their independence.

This would mean making a choice between career and being there for my parents.

I asked myself, “How many Europeans of my generation face the same situation?  What services does the market offer?  What does our system offer? How are our people dealing with the change in our demographics, an aging population and a decrease in the traditional extended family?”

We did the research.  We contacted experts in health, psychology, business and social demographics…and discovered something that you already experience:

Our support systems have not adapted and changed as extended family support networks have diminished.  Government programs are limited and Private support is expensive, beyond the reach of most families and single adults.

Families shouldn’t be forced to choose between helping family and working to provide for them.  Working adults need backup too… and we could all use a BREAK.

That was the genesis for MIRYADI.

The MIRYADI platform will come online Fall of 2019.  In the meantime this blog was created in order to start a community and conversation where our experts will publish  articles on the different aspects of their lives and professions, and how their insights can enrich yours.

We want to hear from you too!  Write in with suggestions, advice and any amazing life hacks that you’ve discovered.  We’ll share them with everyone else.

Our mission is simple: “Change our lives for the better.”

Sooner or later we all need a helping hand…let MIRYADI be yours.

Welcome to the world of MIRYADI!
